I have a passion for interiors and have a track record for landing homeware and expert comments in the national press month in month out.

Independent kitchen retailers should still aim for national press coverage as it’s where potential customers will be looking for ideas and inspiration whether they are local or further afield. Press coverage will tend to contain links back to a website which will help SEO as well as build brand awareness.

I headed up the Magnet account at one of the most awarded agencies outside of London for over a decade. This included multi million pound content shoots, conferences for 350 people, social media channel management and influencer strategy as well as consumer PR and campaign activation.

I would love to bring this big brand experience to independent kitchen designers, now I have gone freelance with a bespoke, tailored approach.

I have regular contact with personalĀ  journalist contacts at all national homes magazines and newspapers leads to regularĀ  coverage in key media titles.

These include the following sections:

This results in a variety of product placement for existing clients and expert comments and we can use this to raise awareness of kitchen products, case studies and kitchen design features.

Over the years I have written a wide variety of kitchen content but would need to get to know you, your business and other designers and what your key messages are to ensure they are seamlessly woven in.

We also need a strong image library from your projects to showcase an example of what is being written about – whether this is a close up of a kitchen bar, larder, worktop, sink or over view of the kitchen as a whole.

I did my kitchen about six years ago now, it’s a pale grey painted shaker with copper handles. Classic chic and it’s a smaller galley kitchen so couldn’t have a more on trend dark unit at the time. I invested more in the worktops to give it a sleek finish with a moulded sink. One of the main walls was exposed brick painted white which I left as it was as I really like the feature and also due to budget reasons. After I had moved the back door into the middle of the room to allow units fully down both sides and splashed out on my worktops it was a sensible thing to leave as well as keeping an urban edge that works well for my period property in south Manchester.
